Can you believe Christmas is in just 156 days!? Though December 25th is a time which most Christian’s in the world reflect God’s love shown through the giving of the greatest gift: Jesus, countless others have never heard of the name of Jesus.
Reborn Church is excited to host our first Operation: Christmas Child outreach as a church. Though this is our first year participating in this incredible outreach as a church, our church family has a rich heritage with this particular outreach. Amber Higginbotham, our resident Shoebox Coordinator and expert has been packing literally thousands of shoeboxes over the past few years in support of this project.
Operation Christmas Child, an outreach of Samaritan’s Purse, is an incredible, worldwide outreach directed at taking the hope of Jesus to some of the most remote regions in the world. By providing boxes full of items lovingly collected (i.e. small toys, games, school supplies, toothbrushes, etc.) and combining them with Bibles, devotional materials, and other Christian materials in the child’s native language, the Gospel of Jesus is being shared with entire communities around the globe.
This year the Reborn Church family will be packing 300 shoeboxes, and we need your help!
There are two primary ways you can help with this year’s shoebox packing event!
Buy items needed to help us fill 300 boxes on Amazon. The items included on this special Amazon list will go directly into one of our 300 boxes and are important to help us include useful items that will physically bless the children receiving our boxes. Your items will ship directly to our shoebox packing location.
Help support the cost of shipping our boxes. Shipping cost $9 per box and helps cover both the logistical costs of shipping and the cost of the devotional materials that go in each box. Because we are shipping 300 boxes at the cost of $9 each, the total being raised for shipping is $2700.
Stay tuned for more details about our upcoming shoebox packing party!
