Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What does Reborn Church believe concerning the Bible?
A: We believe that the Bible is God’s perfect, full revelation to mankind. We believe that the Scriptures are perfect, infallible, and fully sufficient for every question and need of the church. We believe that all Scripture is God breathed and fully sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
Q: What does Reborn Church believe concerning salvation, eternal life, forgiveness of sins, etc.?
A: We believes that Jesus is the way, the truth, the life and the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and the only name given under heaven by which men must be saved (Acts 4:12). We believe that every man, woman, and child is born with a sin nature inherited from our very first grandparents Adam and Eve. Because of this we believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We believe that in order to experience salvation, eternal life, and forgiveness of sins that every man, woman, and child must surrender to Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9, John 3:16).
Q: What does Reborn Church believe concerning who Jesus is?
A: We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the 2nd person of the triune Godhead. Jesus during his earthly life was fully man and fully God. He is the exact representation of the nature and essence of God (Hebrews 1:3). We believe that Jesus and God the Father are one (John 10:30). We believe Jesus has externally existed as part of the Godhead and His nature, character, and love are unchanging (Hebrews 13:8).
Q: What does Reborn Church believe concerning who God is?
A: We believe that God is the externally existent Creator of every that is seen and unseen. We believe that God is externally existent in the three persons of the triune Godhead (Father, Spirit, and Son – Ephesians 4:4-6). We believe that God is holy, righteous, perfect, and good. We believe that God is the perfect manifestation of true love (1 John 4:8).
Q: Where can I learn more about the beliefs of Reborn Church?
A: We deeply encourage you to first reference the Scripture themselves. Reborn Church confesses the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed to be a general, Biblically accurate representation of our core beliefs as a church.
Q: Where is Reborn Church located?
A: Reborn Church is a radically different way of doing church. Currently our entire operation is online via our website, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Reborn Church is seeking to avoid the overhead and costs associated with securing a permanent facility. As God permits we may add in-person services in the future.
Q: When we say we are on a “mission to love Jesus and others, radically”, what does that really mean?
A: Radical (/ˈradək(ə)lē/) is the way in which we would define the love of Jesus. In the simplest terms, radical means completely and different than usual. So our true mission is to love Jesus and others completely in a way that is different than usual. This type of love compels us to love others (John 13:34) like Jesus and to serve or family, friends and community. This love manifests itself in physical, practical, emotional, and spiritual ways and is a very part of who we are as a people and church.
Q: What denomination is Reborn Church?
A: Reborn Church is a non-denominational church. In accordance with Scripture (Ephesians 3:5-6) we believe there is one body, and one Spirit. One Lord. One baptism. One God and Father. With this thought in mind the Reborn Church family features men and women from various denominational backgrounds all on a mission to set those aside as we seek to be followers of Jesus.
Q: What is the mission of Reborn Church?
A: Our mission is threefold: evangelism, discipleship, and missions. In accordance with Matthew 28:19-20, also called the Great Commission, we believe that Jesus commands every follower of Jesus to share the Good News of His life, death, and resurrection with family, friends, and community. As a church we believe our primary mission is to make Jesus known, help his followers grow to become more devoted disciples, and to serve the community and world in Jesus name.
Q: Why is Reborn Church an online church only?
A: We believe that church buildings, complex programs, large staff salary requirements, reoccurring expenses, and complex governance structures have led to an overcomplication of what it truly means to be the church. We believe that the church is not the building but its people (1 Corinthians 6:19). Because of this, we believe that the church should be a collection of small groups that meet in homes, local businesses, parks, schools, and wherever the church gathers. In support of this, Reborn Church is actively working to develop small group materials to assist our church members in meeting together, breaking bread together, and worshiping together. (Acts 2:46)
Q: When and how does Reborn Church meet? What should I expect?
