The Apostles’ Creed

One key question that so many are sure to ask is: what does Reborn Church believe? You can view a list of FAQs about Reborn Church at but one key belief is our confession of the Apostles’ Creed. According to Know the Creeds and Councils by Justin S. Holcomb, the Apostles’ Creed “is the oldest creed of the church”. At its core, a creed is simply a series of belief statements. As a church, we confess that these belief statements are Biblical and represent key beliefs we share as a church.

The Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church*; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting, Amen.

*The holy catholic church indicates the true church of Jesus Christ across all time and history. This is not to be confused with the Roman Catholic Church.
